CVS ON-LINE

CVS ON-LINE is ECFMG’s web-based certification verification request service. CVS ON-LINE may be used by authorized contacts at medical licensing authorities/state medical boards, residency programs, and employers to request confirmation of the ECFMG certification status of international medical graduates. CVS ON-LINE also may be used by authorized contacts at residency programs, employers, and credentialing organizations to request that confirmation of the ECFMG Certification of international medical graduates be sent to medical licensing authorities. Such third party requests cannot be viewed by requester. CVS-ONLINE is easy to use and is available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

To use CVS ON-LINE, an authorized contact of a requesting organization must have a CVS ON-LINE User ID and password, an e-mail address, and an acceptable method of on-line payment (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or funds in a CVS account). An authorized contact is an individual designated by the organization’s account administrator to request information using the organization’s ID number (V-0xxxx) or Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) program ID number. Once an administrator approves a report recipient, the report recipient can request confirmations of ECFMG certification status. A report recipient and an administrator can be the same person.

If you are a first-time user of CVS ON-LINE, please first read the CVS ON-LINE Tutorial, which explains the processes of becoming an authorized contact, establishing a CVS ON-LINE account, submitting requests, and verifying the authenticity of CVS reports.
